Lizzo celebrated Halloween 2026 with a heartfelt tribute to Dolly Parton, recreating the country music legend’s signature look from her 1973 hit Jolene.
The singer revealed her costume on Instagram, wearing a fitted yellow jumpsuit decorated with floral designs and a platinum blonde wig. She also shared a video lip-syncing to Parton’s 1967 song Dumb Blonde, paying tribute to the late musician’s unmistakable style.
The costume carried a personal meaning for Lizzo. In a separate Instagram post, she recalled how Parton supported her during a difficult period in 2024 by inviting her to contribute flute to the album Rockstar.
Lizzo performed on Parton’s version of Stairway to Heaven and received recognition for her contribution under her musical alter ego, Sasha Flute.
She also recreated an alternate Jolene single cover and posed with a guitar beside a gold certification plaque.
Fellow singer SZA responded positively to the Halloween transformation.
Parton died in August 2026 at age 80, making Lizzo’s costume a personal tribute to their musical connection and friendship.
