Producer and DJ Kaytranada is entering a new chapter as his music continues to gain recognition across multiple genres. During a recent interview surrounding the Grammy Awards season, the Montreal-based artist discussed how his sound has evolved and how he views his earlier work today.

Touring is also becoming a major focus. Kaytranada confirmed plans to join electronic duo Justice on tour, bringing his blend of house, hip-hop, and funk-inspired production to larger audiences. Live performances, he noted, often shape the way he thinks about rhythm and energy in the studio.
Despite his strong association with electronic music, Kaytranada still describes himself primarily as a hip-hop producer. That foundation continues to influence the grooves, sampling, and collaborations that define his work today.
